A little bit about...

The Bauhaus existed from 1919 to 1933 and was fouded by Walter Gropius, in Weimar, as an art schoo. It aimed to restore the unity between art and craft. 1932 had the Bauhaus moved to Berlin and in 1933 it was closed.

1. Day -
Reception at the airport and travel to Weimar. City tour focused on Bauhaus period. Visit to the Bauhaus Museum. The evening is at your leisure. Overnight stay in Weimar.

2. Day - Breakfast at hotel. Sightseeing in Weimar. Guided tour of the main building of the university. Based on the tradition of the Bauhaus, other faculties of the University in the design of public space after the Bauhaus principles integrated. Afternoon free time in Weimar, who may feel like the Goethe-door look. Evening trip to Dessau continue with the DB.

3. Day - Tour on Bauhaus in Dessau, that was conceived according to Walter Gropius´s sketches, and to the Mastershouses of Feininger, Kandinsky, Klee and Schlemmer). Lunch at the Bauhaus canteen. Tour to other Bauhaus buildings. Small Piano Soiree in the Master's House by Lyonel Feininger (presented by the Kurt-Weill-Gesellschaft), with introduction. After dinner in Kornhaus.

4. Day - Tour through  Rokokko-style castle Mosigkau in the middle of the park Luisium. Lunch at the Orangery Restaurant. Guided tour in the classicist castle Luisium and ride through the Middle Elbe biosphere landscape known as " Kingdom Garden of Dessau-Wörlitz," also with the Masters' Houses in Dessau and Wittenberg Lutherstad. Trip to Unesco world cultural heritage Lutherstadt Wittenberg. City tour, to the castle and the Schlosskirche where Luther posted his famous 99 theses and stablished the Reformation. Late afternoon trip to Berlin by train (DB).

5. Day - Guided tour through Bauhaus-anniversary exhibition at the Martin-Gropius-Bau. Next lunch with Currywurst at »Konnopke," a Berlin institution. Tour in the footsteps of the writers and artists who lived in Berlin and conducted the ideas of Bauhaus. Evening (optional): complementary theater in the Berliner Ensemble (Bertolt Brecht).

6. Day - Tour in the footsteps of writers and artists in Charlottenburg. Farewell dinner. Home on their own according to your reservation with us..
